Ölmühle Solling's organic apple vinegar is produced with the utmost care from organically grown apples in naturally cloudy quality. After being pressed into a tart juice, it is first fermented into cider before being turned into unprocessed apple vinegar through natural vinegar fermentation. The vinegar remains unfiltered and unpasteurized, preserving its natural purity and authentic taste.



Traditional method with mother of vinegar

If a cloudy, jelly-like mass forms in an opened bottle of apple cider vinegar after a while, there is no need to worry. This so-called “mother of vinegar” is completely harmless and a natural indication of traditional production and the high quality of the vinegar. The vinegar mother is formed by acetic acid bacteria that work with oxygen to convert alcohol into acetic acid. Their formation shows that the vinegar has not been pasteurized or artificially treated - a real sign of quality!
